Russell C. Zahn
Russell C. Zahn, 83, of New Sewickley Township died Thursday in Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 3, 1925, in New Sewickley Township, the son of Benjamin and Anna Householder Zahn.
Russell was the owner of Zahn's Cadets, now Zahn's Service, of New Sewickley Township. He was a member of St. John's Burry's Church, New Sewickley Township, and he was a member of the Big Knob Antique Tractor Association.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia Winkle Zahn; four children, Linda Zahn of New Sewickley Township, Barbara Blank and her husband, Robert, of New Sewickley Township, Beverly Rose and her husband, John, of Ohio; and Rusty Zahn and his wife, Kathy, of Rochester; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Blank (Jennifer), Jason Blank (Jodi), Pam Fuerst (Jordan), Michelle Badger (Dave), Nikki Ruiz, Benjamin Zahn, Courtney Zahn and Katie Zahn; four great-grandchildren, Mikayla Blank, Owen Blank, Grace Blank and Colton Blank; two sisters, Bertha Schaub (Sam) and Viola Blinn; a brother-in-law, James Scobie; and a special family friend, Aaron Ruiz, will miss him as well.
<B>ZAHN</B> — Friends of Russell C. Zahn, who died Thursday, July 24, 2008, will be received 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at <B>Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Service</B>, 502 Adams St., Rochester.An additional viewing for Mr. Zahn will be 10 to 11 a.m. Monday until the service at 11 a.m. in the St. John's Burry's Church, New Sewickley Township, where a funeral service will be conducted by his pastor, the Rev. Mike Van Arsdale.
