Delores F. Jones Ealy, 67, of East Brady, formerly of the Chicora area, died at 10:59 a.m. Thursday in UPMC Northwest Hospital in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

She was born June 2, 1939, in West Virginia, the daughter of the late Thomas O. Gooden and Belva S. Moore Gooden.

She was a cook for years for various restaurants, was also an inspector for the Universal Rundall Fiber Glass plant in New Castle for 10 years, and was in charge of the youth group at the Baptist Church in New Castle for several years.

She is survived by one son, Thomas Joseph Jones and his wife, Karen, of North Washington; her mother, Belva S. Moore Gooden of Chicora; her fiance, Vern Wiles of East Brady; one stepson, Dale Ealy Jr. of Tennessee; four stepdaughters, Sharon Runyon and her husband, Clint, Katherine Patrick and her husband, Robert, and Gayle Ealy, all of New Castle, and Diane Ealy of Florida; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; one sister, Joan Holly Ritzert of East Brady; and two foster sisters, Linda Forsyth of California and Donna Knotts of Chicora.

She married her first husband, Benton Adam Jones, in 1957. He died July 8, 1997. She married her second husband, Dale Ealy, in 1965, and he died in 1997.

She also was preceded in death by her father, a sister and a foster brother.

Jones Ealy, who died Thursday, July 24, 2008, will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at <B>the Steighner Funeral Home</B>, 111 E.Slippery Rock St., Chicora.Blessing services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. David DeWitt, pastor of Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, 409 N. Main St., Chicora, officiating. Burial will be in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.
