Ronald E. "Sonny" Hageter. 73, of Butler passed away at 10:32 a.m. Thursday at UPMC Passavant.

Born in Pittsburgh, Dec. 31, 1934, he was the son of the late Rudolph and Emma Salzer Hageter.

Mr. Hageter worked in the central maintenance department at Butler Armco.

He was a Protestant, and he enjoyed NASCAR racing.

He is survived by three daughters, Claudia Fogleman of Indianapolis, Ind., and Freda Ekey and Sherry Dean, both of Butler; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and two sisters, Mrs. Elva Wise of Arvada, Colo., and Mrs. Herk (Mae) Marinelli of Pittsburgh.

He was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.

"Sonny" Hageter, who died Thursday, July 24, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 124 E.
