Helen C. Elliott, 88, of Butler died Tuesday at her home.

She was born Nov. 21, 1919, in Butler, the daughter of the late George Henry Hauck and the late Margaret Cecelia (Ryan) Hauck.

She was a member of the St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, and in her early years she was a registered nurse for Butler Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are her brother, George C. Hauck of Butler; two nieces, Patricia Rasp of Hooker and Mrs. Carl (Marjorie) Smith of Butler; four nephews, George E. Hauck of Chicora, William Hauck and his wife, Susan, of Butler, Galen McManus and his wife, Sharon, of Saxonburg, and David McManus of Butler; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Elliott, who died April 25, 1998, and a brother.
