Faye L. Silverio
Faye L. Silverio, 75, of Chicora died at 7:34 a.m. Wednesday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Butler, July 10, 1933, the daughter of George and Alma Miles Harrison.
She was 1954 graduate of the Allegheny Valley School of Nursing and became a registered nurse. During her nursing career, she worked with the U.S. Public Health Services in Bethel and Kotysbue in Alaska for three years. She then was employed at Butler Memorial Hospital for 35 years and was an administrative supervisor at the hospital for several years before retiring in October 1994.
Mrs. Silverio was a member of Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church, Chicora, and the Altar-Rosary Society of the Church.
She is survived by a son, John Silverio II and his wife, Karen, of Chicora; and two grandchildren, John A. III and Kayleigh Raye Silverio, both of Chicora.
She married John A "Jigger" Silverio I in October 1966. He died in February 1981. She also was preceded in death by two sisters.
<B>SILVERIO</B> — Friends of Faye L. Silverio, who died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church, 409 N. Main St., Chicora, with the Rev. Lou Pascazi officiating. Burial will be at the St. Mary Cemetery, Bradys Bend.
