Howard F. Undercuffler
Howard F. Undercuffler, 87, of Chicora Road, Butler, died at 1:40 a.m. Thursday in Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born July 16, 1920, in Norristown, Pa., he was the son of William Sullivan and Margaret Elizabeth McKinney Undercuffler.
He was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church.
Mr. Undercuffler worked as a ward attendant and in the pharmacy, kitchen and maintenance departments for the Butler VA Medical Center for 31 years and 8 months. He retired in November 1979.
Mr. Undercuffler was in the Army during World War II and served in the South Pacific. He was a member of the VFW 249.
Mr. Undercuffler is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Esther Pauline)Bauchman of Butler; four sons, Howard Francis Undercuffler Jr. and his wife, Beverly, of Fenelton, Robert Edward Undercuffler and his wife, Deborah, of Sommerville, Pa., David Bennett Undercuffler, and Frank William Undercuffler and his wife, Donna, all of Butler; 17 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; and one brother, George Henry Undercuffler of Norristown, Pa.
Mr. Undercuffler was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Margaret Logan Undercuffler, who died March 29, 2000; and by three brothers.
<B>UNDERCUFFLER </B>— Friends of Howard F. Undercuffler, who died Thursday, July 10, 2008, will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc.</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Fisher, pastor of New Testament Baptist Church, officiating.
