Cleora A. Lyons
Cleora A. Lyons, 80, of Grove City died at 1:55 p.m. Thursday at the Grove City Medical Center.
Born March 3, 1928, in Keister, Pa., she was the daughter of Harry O. Johnston and Alice S. Kelly Johnston.
She was a homemaker and was formerly employed as a cook and nurses aide at the former Spencer Nursing Home in Slippery Rock.
An avid reader, she loved spending time with her family. She was a former volunteer with Slippery Rock Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by two sons, Larry D. Lyons and his wife, Elizabeth, of Mercer, and Wayne B. Lyons of Grove City; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Kitty Lyons of Slippery Rock; and two sisters, Mary Colosimo of Slippery Rock and Vera Gumpp and her husband, Gene, of Slippery Rock.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dolph R. Lyons, on Oct. 31, 1964; her son Robert "Martin" Lyons; her daughter, Cathy S.Lyons; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers.
<B>LYONS</B> — Friends of Cleora A. Lyons, who died Thursday, June 26, 2008, will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>JAMISON FUNERAL HOME</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville.The service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry A. Mahaffey of North Liberty Presbyterian Church officiating.
