Karen Casey, 58, of East Water Street, Saxonburg, died at 11:22 a.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 14, 1949, in Grove City, she was the daughter of Catherine Delores Hasychak and the late Steve Hasychak.

She was a graduate of Knoch High School, received her associate degree in nursing from Butler County Community College, her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Indiana (Pa.) University and was a registered nurse for Pyramid Healthcare.

Karen was an active member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot, where she was instrumental in starting the Stephen Ministry program.

She is survived by a son, Justin Casey of Valencia; two daughters, Debora Twyman and Megan Casey, both of Butler; six grandchildren; her mother of Butler; two brothers, Mike and Steve Hasychak, both of Butler; and six nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, June Haney.

<B>CASEY</B>— Friends of Karen Casey, who died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Luke Lutheran Church, where services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jason Hoerth and the Rev.
