Shoaf

Richard Westley Shoaf Jr. of Cabot left his earthly home of 59 years Monday at Providence Hospital in Columbia, S.C.

Born in Natrona Heights, he was a son of Richard and Maggie Sikes Shoaf of Columbia, formerly of Sarver.

He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Shoaf retired from Allegheny Ludlum Steel Technology after 37 years as an 8-2 repairman. Since his retirement, he has worked for Allegheny Teledyne and W.L. Roenigk.

He attended the Sarver Free Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Coleen Melton Shoaf; a son, Robert Shoaf (Rhonda) of Worthington; two daughters, Shari Miller (Jeff) and Tammi Rachwal (Frank), both of Sarver; a brother, Donald Shoaf (Jean) of Melrose, Fla.; two sisters, Delores Ballentine (Bill) of Columbia and Cathy Druschel (Dave) of New Brighton; a sister-in-law, Rhoda Shoaf of Sarver; four cherished grandchildren, Jesse Lauer, Allison and Kaci Shoaf and Vinnie Rachwal; a special mother-in-law, Della Melton of Cabot; and numerous other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffery Allen Shoaf.

<B>SHOAF</B> — Friends of Richard Westley Shoaf Jr., who died Monday, June 23, 2008, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Banks, pastor of Sarver Free Methodist Church, officiating.
