Donald A. Dunn
Donald A. Dunn, 51, of Butler died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at his home of a heart attack.
Born Oct. 26, 1956, in Fort Knox, Ky., he was the son of Robert L. Sr. and Shirley Klepper Dunn.
He was a member of the Concord Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Dunn was a 1974 graduate of Moniteau High School and a graduate of Duquesne University, where he majored in music. He was the music director at the Nixon United Methodist Church. He also gave private music lessons.
Music was a passion of Don's that brought the family closer together, especially at Christmas. The younger children enjoyed sitting beside Uncle Don and singing the family's favorite songs. Don's musical talents will be greatly missed at the holidays.
Don was an inspiration to all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister and her husband, Robin and William Kreutz of West Liberty; three brothers and their spouses, Robert Dunn Jr. and Cindy of Hooker, John Dunn and Ruth of Greenville and Richard Dunn and Christen of New Castle; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
<B>DUNN </B>— Friends of Donald A. Dunn, who died Sunday, June 22, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Concord Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Robert Mathias of the Concord Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Bruce Merritt of the Nixon United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Concord Presbyterian Church or the Nixon United Methodist Church.
