I agree with Tom Elliott's letter to the editor regarding religion and terrorism. As I have indicated before, any religion has the propensity for violence and when coupled with political power, carnage invariably ensues. I wonder what restrictions on non-Christians State Representative Metcalfe would support if more shared his view which, as Rick from Butler correctly writes, is "out of constitutional bounds." Religious zealots are notorious for their intolerance and abject rejection of "The Golden Rule", as alluded to by Janet from Butler, so it is likely that those who don't adhere to Christian theology would be second-class citizens in Metcalfe's America.

Tommy from Butler wonders if my ideas are from textbooks. I wish they were because that would mean more people subscribed to the ideas for which I advocate. Tommy also asks me to elaborate on my desire to dismantle the social welfare programs. I believe that all welfare programs by government are wrong and should be phased out. People should not be forced via taxation to support others. People's earnings are their own property and government has no right to confiscate them through taxation.
