I am not quite sure if I get the point of Tom from North Carolina's post. His quote from the Bible (Psalm 14.1) really is irrelevant to my argument regarding the danger of State Representative Daryl Metcalfe's recent statements regarding religion. Representative Metcalfe did not even address the subject of atheism in his comments advocating Christianity as the de facto religion of the United States. However, if any religion is elevated over another by government, theocracy will ensue and followers of other religions will be persecuted along with atheists.
