1:28 a.m. Tuesday — Two people face drug-related charges following a traffic stop at Fourth Avenue and New Castle Street.A search of the car turned up two bags of suspected crack cocaine under the passenger seat of Laurie Seybert, 41, no address given, according to a police report. Police also found a marijuana pipe in the glove box.Police said Seybert is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Judd C. Ferguson, 35, of Butler, the driver, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license and not stopping at a flashing red signal.5:37 a.m. Sunday — John Kummer, 36, of Penn Township was arrested for driving under the influence on Brown Avenue.

5:58 p.m. Monday — A vehicle driven by Jordan Falling, 19, of Butler spun out of control on wet Route 422 near the Lyndora on-ramp and struck an embankment. Falling was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for injuries and released.3:05 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Timothy Blakely, 41, of Butler caught fire on McCalmont Road. Police said Blakely pulled over and got out of the vehicle uninjured.Meridian volunteer firefighters doused the fire, which temporarily closed the road. Police said the fire severely damaged the car's interior.2:30 p.m. Monday — Cars driven by Nancy Truby, 78, of Butler and Robert Stroup, 84, of Valencia collided at Route 8 and McCalmont Road. Truby was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for injuries and released. Stroup refused treatment.Apolice report said Truby failed to stop for a red light leading to the accident.

12:30 a.m. Tuesday — Samuel J. Barkley, 18, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance after police served a warrant on him at 751 Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township.7:30 p.m. Monday — Someone stole a $50 purse from the North Main Street home of Brenda Glancy in Chicora between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. No money was reported missing.5 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Justin Linamen, 17, of Butler struck an embankment off Mahood Road in Center Township before traveling about 160 feet along the north berm. Linamen was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.12:22 p.m. Monday — A car driven by Dionna Westry, 19, of Pittsburgh and a car driven by Norma Parenti, 65, of Boyers collided at Branchton Road and Route 108 in Slippery Rock Township.Both drivers and Parenti's passenger, Anna Belle Ekis, 78, all received minor injuries. Police said Westry was cited for a stop sign violation.5:15 a.m. Monday — A car driven by Leslie Wheeler, 44, of West Sunbury hit a utility pole off Mahood Road in Center Township. Police said Wheeler, who fell asleep at the wheel, was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.Sunday — An unknown vehicle drove through shrubbery at 118 Nail Road in Venango Township before hitting an embankment. The driver then drove off. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.Sunday — Someone stole a Savage .30-06 rifle from Casey Finke's residence on Chestnut Lane in Muddy Creek Township between May 15 and June 22. The black rifle with a 3-by-9 Simmons scope is valued at $300.10:45 p.m. Saturday — Jacky Rene Francois, 55, of Valencia was arrested for driving under the influence following a crash at Routes 8 and 228 in Middlesex Township.11 p.m. Saturday — A car driven by William Simmons Jr., 41, of Chicora hit the end of a guard rail along Route 68 in Chicora. Police said Simmons was cited for several undisclosed traffic violations.Saturday — Someone cut two tires on Tamara Sue Carbin's pickup truck while it was parked at 108 Penn Ave. in Lyndora between 8:30 and 9:21 p.m. The tires are valued at $400.June 17 — Someone fraudulently used the debit card number of Barry Rider of Forward Township to make unauthorized charges.
