Thursday — An unknown thief stole a Yorkshire terrier from the yard of a McKinley Avenue home.Owner Francis Plaisted told police that at 2:30 p.m. he had placed the gray and brown dog on a 20-foot lead; at 4 p.m., when he went to retrieve the teacup Yorkie, the dog and its blue lead were gone.The dog, which was wearing a red harness, is valued at $900, a police report said.Thursday — A pair of folding chairs and several potted plants were stolen by someone overnight outside the Young Funeral Home on West Jefferson Street.Wednesday — Deana Fair, 37, of Butler is accused of breaking into a Wilson Avenue home.Police said when Fair was arrested a short time later, they found her with several coins reported stolen from the house. Officers also allegedly found her with suspected crack cocaine.Fair was arraigned on charges of burglary and possession of a controlled substance. She remains in the Butler County Prison on $3,000 bond, as well as for a probation violation.

12:35 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Russell Giffin, 40, of Slippery Rock and a pickup truck driven by Daniel Conroy Jr., 31, of Butler collided on Route 356 at Moraine Pointe Plaza. The collision spun Giffin's vehicle into a car driven by Mary Cochrane, 78, of Butler.Police said Giffin and a passenger in his car were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.3:20 p.m. Wednesday — Matthew Kozlowski, 30, of Sarver was arrested for driving under the influence on McCalmont Road. Police said Kozlowski also faces charges for driving with a suspended license, careless driving, driving on the wrong side of the road, and illegally passing another vehicle.

9:39 p.m. Sunday — Money from a cash register was reported stolen during the past two days at King Cones Castle on Evans City Road in Connoquenessing Township.3:30 a.m. Sunday — Cars driven by Marinda Osborne, 19, of Grove City and Lance Donston, 26, of New Castle collided on Route 108 near West Park Road in Worth Township. Police said Osborne was cited for making an illegal U-turn.1:20 p.m. Saturday — Five people were injured in a four-vehicle collision on Mercer Road in Center Township.The chain-reaction crash occurred when a car driven by Justin Allday, 18, of Butler approached several vehicles that were stopped as one was making a turn. Police said Allday's car hit the rear of a car driven by Dale Zarnick, 78, of Butler.Zarnick's car in turn was forced into the rear of a sport utility vehicle driven by Justin Grottenthaler, 30, of Butler. The SUV was then forced into the rear of a car driven by Lisa Hohn, 44, of Butler.Zarnick and a passenger in his car and Grottenthaler and two passengers in his SUV, including a 1-year-old girl, all suffered minor injuries. Police said Allday was cited for driving too fast for conditions.10:40 p.m. Saturday — Chris Christzman, 37, of Portersville suffered minor injuries when the minivan he was driving struck an SUV parked at Route 19 and Moraine Drive in Muddy Creek Township.3:30 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Barbara Coblentz, no age given, of Harrisville crashed into a tree along Route 308 in Cherry Township. Police said Coblentz was cited for careless driving and other unspecified traffic violations.2:35 a.m. Saturday — John Javor, 34, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Hill Vue Street in Butler Township.June 8 — Nothing was reported taken in a burglary June 7 or 8 at the Elliott Road home of Robert Yusko in Center Township.
