1:27 a.m. Sunday — Sheila Ann Shay, 30, of Rimersburg, Clarion County, was arrested for driving under the influence on West Jefferson Street. Police said Shay also was cited for a flashing yellow light violation and possession of Vicodin without a prescription.Kimberly Sue Quinn, 23, of Knox, Clarion County, a passenger in Shay's car, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and an open container violation.
1:18 a.m. Saturday — Randall Shetter, 32, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Winfield Road in Winfield Township.11:47 p.m. Friday — Joseph Cranmer, 38, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Herman Road in Summit Township.9 p.m. Friday — Barry Byron reported that alarge amount of coins was stolen from his American Chestnut Lane home in Prospect.7:20 p.m. Friday — A 19-year-old Butler man was found with suspected marijuana after police were called for a report of people smoking pot outside the Clearview Mall in Center Township. Police said Jay Edward Vinroe Jr. is charged with possession of marijuana.9:15 a.m. Friday — Cars driven by Kenneth Schroth, 48, of Fenelton and Alex E. Smith, 27, of Kittanning collided at Route 422 and Cornetti Road in Clearfield Township. Police said Schroth, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for a stop sign violation.7:57 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Christopher S. Gordon, 20, of Evans City crashed into a rock and rolled onto its roof on Route 528 near Wahl Road in Forward Township. Police said Gordon was cited for careless driving.11:40 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Israel Isenberg, 29, of Marion Center, Indiana County, and a car driven by Dana Renwick, 30, of Butler collided at Old Route 422 and Game Reserve Road in Clearfield Township.Renwick was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for moderate injuries. Police said Isenberg was cited for a stop sign violation.Wednesday — Undisclosed items valued at $850 were taken from the Filer Lane home of James Anderson in Clay Township.7:30 p.m. June 9 — ACoach brand purse valued at $250 was among several items taken from a vehicle in a parking lot at McConnells Mill State Park in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Police said also stolen were a pair of glasses, an iPod and keys.June 8 — A 2004 Chevrolet Colorado was stolen June 7 or 8 from the TJ's Hide-A-Way parking lot in Forward Township. The pickup, owned by Nick Yeager of Renfrew, was later found burned.8:45 p.m. June 6 — A car driven by Joseph A. Marcella, 37, of Maiden, N.C., struck a deer and crashed on Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Police said Marcella was cited for failure to immediately notify police of an accident.3:30 p.m. June 6 — Cars driven by Juanita Marburger, 43, of Butler and Marilyn Mansfield, 75, of Renfrew collided on Valencia Road in Forward Township. Police said Marburger, who was at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.May 29 — Apair of gasoline drive-offs netted thieves $691 and $733 in fuel at the Pilot Station at Route 422 and Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.
Wednesday — An unknown burglar stole unspecified property from a barn on Pine Oak Road in Madison Township. The break-in occurred Tuesday or Wednesday.
1:20 p.m. Thursday — A 2001 Ford Expedition caught fire while westbound on Route 62 in Sandy Lake Township. James Wyant, 34, of Stoneboro, who was driving the vehicle, was able to pull over and, along with a passenger, get out unhurt.4:31 p.m. Tuesday — Joshua Stephen Mazon, 26, of Sandy Lake was found with two containers of suspected marijuana in his pickup truck stopped for a traffic violation on Scrubgrass Road near Route 173 in Wolf Creek Township.Police said Mazon faces charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving without a license and without insurance, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Friday — Acorn sheller and two-way plow were stolen between Tuesday and Friday from the Shaffer Road farm of Dale Cunningham in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.May 30 — An unknown thief or thieves stole two pygmy goats from the Firehall Road home of Maigan Winegardner in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. The goats were stolen May 29 or 30 from an enclosure.
