Shirl and Dorothy VanDyke

Shirl and Dorothy VanDyke of Slippery Rock will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a family dinner and a trip to Punta Cana.

Van Dyke married the former Dorothy Jones on June 14, 1958, at the Harrisville United Methodist Church in Harrisville.

They have two children, Thomas VanDyke of Jamestown and Jackie McIntire of Slippery Rock.

They also have two grandchildren.

VanDyke is retired from General Electric in Grove City.

Mrs. VanDyke is retired from UPMC-Horizon and is a part-time employee at Grove City Medical Center. She belongs to the Society of Nuclear Medicine and the Red Hat Society.

The couple are members of Harrisville United Methodist Church.
