Boltz 60th anniversary
Alvin and Marian Boltz of Sarver will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a family dinner Sunday at Villa Restaurant in Gadogen.
Boltz married the former Marian Schmidt on June 16, 1948, at St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saxonburg. The Rev. Donald Fetterly officiated.
They have three children, Susan Peck of West Chester, Marlin Boltz of Cabot and Beth Kuric of Erie.
They also have eight grandchildren.
Boltz served in the army from 1946 to 1948 and is retired from Oberg Industries, where he worked as a precision tool grinder. He belongs to the Armstrong Lodge 239 Free and Accepted Masons in Freeport, the Syria Shrine in Pittsburgh and the Saxonburg Golden Agers. He also enjoys gardening.
Mrs. Boltz is a homemaker. She belongs to the Order of the Eastern Star Freeport Chapter 179, the Saxonburg Golden Agers and the Southeast Butler Senior Center. She enjoys sewing, reading, cooking and quilting.
The couple are members of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saxonburg.
