Boyd and Alice Johnston

Boyd and Alice Johnston of Grove City celebrated 50 years of marriage with an open house given by their children at their home May 10. More than 50 attended.

Johnston married the former Alice Rust on May 13, 1958. They were married by the Rev. Davis in Harrisville.

They have six children, Debra Lyons of Grove City, Esther Martin of Harrisville, Tammy Long of Harrisville, Cindy Polkabla of Grove City, Boyd "Gene" Johnston of Harrisville and Robert Johnston of Grove City.

They also have 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Johnston is retired from Valley View Golf Course in Harrisville.

Mrs. Johnston is a homemaker.

The Johnstons are members of West Unity Community Church in Harrisville.
