12:45 p.m. Friday — Lana B. Claypole, 28, of Zelienople was charged with retail theft after she allegedly tried to take items from Friedman's grocery store without paying for them.2:13 p.m. Wednesday — George Steven Stuteville, 44, of Butler was charged with possession of safe documents, certificate of title and operating a vehicle without valid inspection after he allegedly was discovered with fake state vehicle inspection stickers following a traffic stop.

1:18 a.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Patrick R. Hair, 23, of Sarver crashed into a utility pole on Flemming Road near Willow Road. Hair was taken by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital for unknown injuries.

6:20 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Samantha L. Brooks, 18, of Corsica crashed into a guide rail along Route 68 in Bradys Bend Township. Brooks was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. Passenger Randy S. Buzard, 19, of Corsica was not wearing a seat belt and suffered a minor injury. Brooks was issued a traffic citation.
