Monday — City residents reported tires were cut overnight on two vehicles, including a pair of tires on a truck owed by St. Vincent DePaul that was parked on East Locust Street. In the other case, a tire was cut on a car parked in front of a Greenview Drive home.
11:30 a.m. Monday — The Pennsylvania license plate GXS2410 was reported stolen from a vehicle on Park Manor.3:07 p.m. Sunday — A car was reportedly ransacked while parked in the 100 block of Metzger Avenue. Police remind residents to keep their unattended vehicles locked at all times.
9 p.m. Monday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Sharon Daggett, 47, of Bradford, McKean County, struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.May 14 — An unknown thief stole a 15-foot, camouflage-colored Browning canoe and a 16-foot aluminum ladder from Pipestem Road in Cherry Township. Glenn Winkler of Slippery Rock owns the property, which was taken between May 11 and 14.
4:40 p.m. Sunday — An unknown vehicle struck a sport utility vehicle on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County, and did not stop. Gary Changnon, 61, of Concord, Ohio, was driving the SUV.
6:35 p.m. Thursday — Jeffrey Sims, no age given, of Rural Valley was arrested following a police chase on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township. Troopers stopped Sims near Freeport. He is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude and several other unspecified traffic violations.
12:59 p.m. Monday — Matthew Allen Switzer, 23, of Grove City was arrested for allegedly stealing scrap metal from a Daugherty Road home in Pine Township. Switzer was arraigned on charges of theft and criminal mischief and placed in the Mercer County Jail on $25,000 bail.
