Monday — Police reported that charges have been filed against Thomas W. Lehnerd, 45, of Butler for allegedly spitting on the store window at Don Paul Jewelers on North MainStreet last week.Astore security camera caught the suspected spitter standing in front of the window at 11:30 p.m. May 13, about the time of the expectoration."(The owner) has been having problems with Lehnerd for some time,"according to a police report, "as Lehnerd does not respect (Paul's) business and is constantly doing things to cause chaos."Police said Lehnerd is charged with disorderly conduct and creating a public nuisance.10a.m. Sunday — Gordon Allen Brown, 37, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife, Dena Brown, 29, during a domestic dispute at the couple's Zeigler Avenue home. Brown is charged with simple assault.6:29 a.m. Sunday — AButler man was arrested after an East Muntz Avenue resident reported the suspect was on her front porch "totally naked."Officers got to the home and found Joshua A. Christie, 21, wearing only his underwear, a police report said. The victim told police that the man put on the underwear before officers got there.Christie, according to the police report, "stated he was 'tripping' as he took (psychedelic) mushrooms (Saturday) night." Police said Christie is charged with indecent exposure and public drunkenness.3:12 a.m. Sunday — Gerardo Gutierrez, 45, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on West Wayne Street.12:19 a.m. Sunday — Derek J. Dickson, 25, of Butler was arrested for DUI on Seventh Avenue. Police said Dickson also was cited for driving with a suspended license.2:37 Saturday — Police were called to West Cunningham Street for the reported theft of $1,000 from the trunk of a Butler woman's vehicle.The victim told police she suspected Daniel Dean Toner, 22, of Butler of taking the keys to the vehicle and taking the money. Police said Toner is charged with theft in the case.

11:51 p.m. Sunday — Two Allegheny County men are accused of stealing scrap metal from a local railroad. Police said the suspects — GeraldBuck, 27, of Pittsburgh and Gregory Prokopchak, 27, of Cheswick — are charged with theft, conspiracy, receiving stolen property and trespass.12:17 a.m. Saturday — Shawna Lynne Campbell, 23, of Butler was arrested for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend during a domestic dispute at the Rock Ann Haven. Police said Campbell is charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.12:15 a.m. Saturday — Two people were hurt when a vehicle driven by Daniel Noullet, 23, of Pittsburgh crashed into an embankment and guardrail on Litman Road.Noullet and Eric Taylor, 22, of Butler, a passenger, were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries. Police said Noullet was cited for reckless driving and driving too fast for conditions.4:03 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by Timothy Purvis, 25, of Renfrew and Richard McManus, 64, of Butler collided at South Benbrook Road and Technology Drive. The collision forced Purvis' car into a minivan driven by Angela Bean, 34, of Valencia.Purvis was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.12:43 p.m. Friday — A13-year-old boy, who police did not identify, is accused of bringing a Gerber brand knife to the Clarence Brown School on Pittsburgh Pike Road. Police said the boy is charged in juvenile court with possession of a weapon on school property.

Monday — Police reported that a Michigan man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run crash earlier this month in Cranberry TownshipLuke Andrew Beckwith, no age given, of Big Rapids was driving a pickup truck about 8:45 a.m. May 9 that sideswiped a car on the connector between Interstate 79 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Cranberry Township. Police said Beckwith drove away after the crash.Police said the suspect is charged with accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle and another unspecified traffic violation.Noon Monday — Police, while serving a warrant, arrested Richard William Jay, 29, on drug-related charges at his Leslie Road home in Middlesex Township. Jay is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.Monday — Nothing was reported taken after an unknown burglar smashed a window and broke into Smardt Equipment on Roue 422 in Prospect. The burglary occurred between 3 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Monday.Sunday — Two Husqvarna chainsaws and a pair of tree spikes were stolen from a truck at the Clearfield Township Municipal Building on McGrady Hollow Road. The Asplundh Tree Expert Co. of Fort Wayne, Ind., owns the stolen property, valued at $1,030. The theft occurred between 5 p.m. Thursday and 1 p.m. Sunday.6:05 p.m. Saturday — Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash at Hall Road and Lilac Lane in Brady Township.Police said the crash occurred when a car driven by Jason C. Mohler, 26, of Slippery Rock collided with a sport utility vehicle driven by Jon Homison, 47, of Slippery Rock. The collision forced the SUVinto the oncoming lane where it collided with a pickup truck driven by Erla Rudolph, 48, of Slippery Rock.Homison suffered an unknown injury and Rudolph suffered minor injuries, according to a police report. Police said Mohler was cited for failure to yield the right of way.2 a.m. Saturday — Mark Andrew Turner, 21, of Slippery Rock faces hit-and-run charges after his car struck a tree along Ralston Road near Suburban Lane in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Turner allegedly fled the crash site.Saturday — A bight yellow and black, 50cc mini bike was stolen between 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. from the front porch at the Double Road home of Jobie Peth in Connoquenessing Township.2:30 p.m. Friday — Atelevision set was stolen from the Chicora Road apartment of Larry Gregg in Oakland Township.12:01 a.m. Friday — Atruck driven by Eric Lee Chadwell, 24, of Bruin struck a tree at Route 268 and Fairmont Road in Fairview Township. Police said Chadwell, who was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for minor injuries, was cited for unspecified traffic violations.

Friday — Stephanie Nicole Booher, 21, of Butler was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 16-year-old during a fight on Bear Street in Worthington. Police said Booher is charged with simple assault and harassment. Authorities did not identify the youth.Friday — Someone stole a safe during a break-in between May 11 and Friday at a Spudic Road home in Madison Township.1:15 p.m. May 10 — Kale Minich, 31, of Rimersburg is accused of stomping on the foot of a 27-year-old Ohio woman during an altercation on Route 861 in Rimersburg. Police said Minich is charged with simple assault.
