Mrs. M. Jane Brown, 88, of Forest Mere Circle passed away peacefully at 10 p.m. Saturday surrounded by her family and wonderful caregivers in her home.

Born Jan. 31, 1920, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Ivor V. Davis and Mary Jane Seamans Davis.

Mrs. Brown was a graduate of New Castle High School and attended Westminster College, New Wilmington.

Mrs. Brown was a member of the Calvary Evangelical Presbyterian Church and currently was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America. When at Calvary, she was the church librarian and donated her time for the church food cupboard. She was an avid volunteer and was a member of the Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She worked in the Coda Shop for the Butler Symphony. She was a founding member and a former member of the board of directors of the Calvary Daycare. Mrs. Brown was a member of Oak Hills Garden Club and the Butler Country Club.

She was an avid reader and lead weekly Bible study groups. She loved to garden and tend to her flowers.

She is the beloved wife of 67 years of J. Robert Brown. They were married Sept. 21, 1940.

Mrs. Brown is the loving mother of two daughters, Rebecca Jane Camlin of Mount Lebanon and Judy Barkley and her husband, Jack, of Butler. She is the loving grandmother of Heidi Vandrak and her husband, Bob, of Harmony, Heather Sullivan and her husband, Mike, of Chesapeake, Va., Jennifer Ivory and her husband, John, and Jay Barkley and his wife, Jennifer, both of Gibsonia.

She is the loving great-grandmother of Julia, Jane, Bobby, Stephen, Andrew, Emily, Ella, Katie and Erin.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

<B>BROWN</B> — Friends of Mrs. M. Jane Brown, who died Saturday, April 5, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America with the Rev. Curt McDaniel, of Westminster Presbyterian Church in America, officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum of the Butler County Memorial Park.The family suggests donations to either the Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, Renfrew, PA16053; or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O.
