Edward Timblin Jr.
Edward Timblin Jr., 83, of 111 S. Cliff St. died at 12:20 a.m. Saturday at his home.
Born April 3, 1925, in Butler, he was the son of Edward Sr. and Myrtle Thompson Timblin.
He was a painter for 32 years with Pullman Standard. He retired in 1982.
Mr. Timblin enjoyed flea markets and traveling.
He is survived by Annie Firster, his companion of 35 years; his children, Donna Lawson (Ed) of Butler, Paul Timblin (Linda) of Butler and Phylis Spiece (Bill) of Fenelton; step children, Judy Miller (Don), Debora Powser, Chuck Firster (Brenda) and Kim Green (Steve), all of Butler; grandchildren, Jennifer Spiece of Tucson, Ariz., and Cathleen Piche, Holly Spiece, Candice Cady, Michael Lawson and Matthew Edgington, all of Butler; 20 step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 28 step great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence Timblin of Butler; a sister, Pearl VanScooten of Pasadena, Fla.; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Timblin; a stepdaughter, Lori McClimans; sisters, Edna McCandless and Betty Thomas; and a brother, Vic Timblin.
<B>TIMBLIN</B>— Visitation for Edward Timblin Jr., who died Saturday, April 5, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dennis L. Krajacie of Community Alliance Church officiating.Burial will follow at Greenlawn Burial Estates.
