Thomas A. Mirage
Thomas A. Mirage, 78, of Cochranton died Saturday at the Sharon Regional Hospital.
Born April 29, 1929, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Lawrence and Anna Geise Mirage.
He retired in 1991 from the Herr-Voss Corporation in Callery, where he was a machinist for 20 years. Previously, he had worked at the American Bridge Co. in Pittsburgh for 19 years. He and his family also raised minks for more than 40 years in the Cochranton and Mars areas.
Mr. Mirage was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Cochranton.
He was a Korean War Army veteran.
He married Ruth Banyay on Oct. 2, 1954. She survives, along with a daughter, Donna Martin and her husband, Blane, of Saxonburg; three sons, Lawrence Mirage and his wife, Carrie, Joseph and his wife, Cindy, and Harry and his wife, Nancy, all of Cochranton; eight grandchildren, Tyler J. and Ryan S. Martin, Anna Marie, Justin, Andrew, Stephen, Logan and Haley Mirage; and a sister, Elizabeth Robinson of New Mexico.
<B>MIRAGE </B>— Friends of Thomas A. Mirage, who died Saturday, March 29, 2008, will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Dickson Family Funeral Home</B>, 123 S. Franklin St., Cochranton. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Cochranton with the Rev. Dennis Veltri as celebrant.
