Anna Fair

Anna Fair, 93, of Mars, formerly of Baden, died Tuesday while under the compassionate care of the staff at the St. John Specialty Care Center.

Born Dec. 12, 1914, in Central, Pa., she was daughter of Wasil and Helena Banicky Smarsh.

She was a faithful member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Baden and was an active member of the Christian Mothers.

Surviving are a son, Dr. Dennis Fair of Mars; a daughter, Linda Randall of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, Jill (David) Howard of Waynesburg, Todd Fair of Butler, Terry Randall of Export, and Sarah Fair and Ginger Randall, both of Pittsburgh; two sisters, Helen Fuderich of Coraopolis and Dorothy Smarsh of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William; five brothers, John, Stephen, Peter, Joseph and Michael; and two sisters, Mary and Julia.

<B>FAIR </B>— Friends of Anna Fair, who died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>GABAUER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 273 Route 68, Rochester, adjacent to Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 363 Wayne St., Baden. Family and friends are to meet at the church. Private burial will follow at the Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Specialty Care, 500 Wittenberg Way, Mars, PA 16046.
