Robert and Dorothy Ekas

Robert and Dorothy Ekas of Chicora will celebrate 60 years of marriage this week with a family dinner.

Ekas married the former Dorothy Young on March 27, 1948, at Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church in Chicora.

They have two children, Dr. Robert Ekas of New Orleans, La., and Gary Ekas of East Brady.

They also have three granddaughters.

Ekas is retired from Witco Chemical Co. He enjoys woodworking and belongs to United Methodist Church in Chicora.

Mrs. Ekas is retired from Chicora Medical Center. She is a member of Mater Dolorosa Roman Catholic Church.

The Ekases also belong to Tanglewood Senior Center and Chicora Senior Center.
