William R. Pressler Jr., 70, of Moore Road died at 4:20 a.m. Monday in Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 17, 1937, in Philadelphia, he was the son of William R. Pressler Sr. and Marion Stone Pressler.

Mr. Pressler retired in 1980 following 20 years with the Navy as a surface warfare officer, earning the rank of commander. In 1982, he moved to Las Vegas, Nev., where he became a casino floorman for 10 years. He attended Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Turk Pressler, whom he married June 20, 1981; one son, Thomas W. Pressler of Richmond, Va.; two grandchildren, Britanni and Kyle Pressler, both of Richmond, Va., and a number of cousins.
