Reed

Margaret J. "Jean" Reed, 82, of Harmony, formerly of Zelienople, died Monday at UPMC Passavant Cranberry.

Born May 21, 1925, in West Mifflin, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Margaret H. (Joseph) Casey.

She was a member of the Calvin Presbyterian Church, where she had served as a deacon. She had worked at the Zelienople Historical Society and the Harmony Museum.

She had been an officer of the Zelienople Community Club and a member the First Friday Club.

She is survived by three sons, Allan Reed of Renfrew, David Reed of Williamsfield, Ohio, and John Reed of Callery; a daughter, Alice Johnson of Harmony; and three grandsons, Thomas D. Reed II of Baltimore, Md., and Caleb E. Reed and Sean J. Reed, both of Callery.

Her husband, Thomas J. Reed, whom she married Aug. 25, 1951, and a brother, Harold J. Casey, preceded her in death.
