Ledford

Harold Ray Ledford, 81, formerly of Butler, died Feb 2 at his home in Middletown, Ohio.

He was born May 8, 1926, and was preceded in death by his parents, Caleb and Daisy Ledford; three sisters, and three brothers.

Mr. Ledford loved competitive sports and had excelled in basketball and fast-pitch softball. He was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame in Butler County, Hamilton, Ohio, and the Butler (Pa.) Area Sports Hall of Fame. He also was an avid fisherman.

He was a World War II Army veteran and retired from Armco Steel in 1982 after 35 years in Butler and Middletown Research.

Surviving are his devoted wife, Betty, of 59 years; sons, Steven and Michael Ledford, of Middletown; daughters, Susan (Randal) Isaacs of Somerville, Ohio, and Pamela (Steve) Ambrus of Wentzville, Mo.; grandchildren, Kierstan Isaacs of Duluth, Ga., Jake and Calee Isaacs of Somerville and Preston Ledford of Dayton, Ohio; a brother, William (Melissa) Ledford of Middletown; and many nieces, nephews and good friends.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
