Margaret Jane Kennedy, 89, formerly of Hubbard, Ohio, died Friday at the Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople, where she had been a resident for five years.

Born Aug. 12, 1918, in Canton, Ohio, she was a daughter of John and Rose Anderson Drabble and moved to Hubbard in 1963.

She was a 1936 graduate of the Canton McKinley High School.

Mrs. Kennedy was a member of the Nazir Caldron 27 of Canton, the Rebekah Lodge 758 of Hubbard and the First Presbyterian Church of Hubbard and its Women's Association.

She leaves a son, Roy P. (Debbie) Kennedy of Fort Myers, Fla.; daughters, Jane Ann Kennedy of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., Nancy (Bill) Larocca of Cranberry Township and Holly R. (John) Weakley of South Plainfield, N.J.; three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. She also leaves a sister, Evelyn Mae Couturier of Cottonwood, Ariz.

Her husband, Paul L. Kennedy, who she married Jan. 26, 1946, died April 16, 2003. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Rose A. Yant.
