Thomas Guy Olcus, 75, of Olcus Lane, Chicora, died at 12:20 a.m. Sunday at ACMH Hospital after an illness.

Born in Kaylor, Armstrong County, Sept. 12, 1932, he was a son of Thomas Mathias Olcus and Helen Mildren Olcus.

He was a member of the St. Paul's Community Church.

Mr. Olcus was a 1950 graduate of Karns City High School and served with the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 488 of Bradys Bend and the VFW in Chicora.

He retired in 1994 from Penreco in Karns city as a truck driver.

He married the former Jean Cress in Meridian on Nov. 23, 1957. She survives along with a daughter, Mrs. Kathy S. Sweeney and her husband, Jeffrey L., of Chicora; two sons, Joseph E. and Thomas W. Olcus, both of Chicora; four grandchildren, Jason, Karissa, Dakota and Danner Sweeney, all of Chicora; a brother and his wife, John R. Olcus and Bonnie of East Brady; a sister and her husband, Alice J. Fennell and William of Karns City; and several nieces and nephews.

<B>OLCUS </B>— Friends of Thomas Guy Olcus, who died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Richard d Hillis funeral home, </B>102 Argyle St<B>., </B>Petrolia. Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Paul's Community Church, Route 268, Chicora, where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Randall Forester officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery.Military honors will be accorded by members of the American Legion Post 488, Bradys Bend.Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Community Church, Route 268, Chicora, PA 16025.
