John J. Dometrovich

John J. Dometrovich, 95, of Grove City died at 4:50 p.m. Thursday in the Grove City Medical Center.

Born April 26, 1912, in Ganister, Pa., he was the son of Anthony and Mary Dometrovich.

He worked in the maintenance department of Grove City College and at Michigan Lime Stone of Boyers.

He was a former member of St. Peter Parish of Slippery Rock, and he attended Church of the Beloved Disciple in Grove City.

His hobbies included wood working and gardening, and he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Boyers Sportsman Club.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia D. Mitchell and her husband, Thomas J. of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Eileen E. Waters and her husband, Thomas M., of Henderson, Nev.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Dorothy Dometrovich of New Rochelle, N.Y., and Wilma "Mim" Verno of Maryland.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie E. Feck Dometrovich, whom he married Feb. 8, 1936, and who died June 6, 2007; three sisters, and three brothers.

<B>DOMETROVICH</B> — Friends of John J. Dometrovich, who died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117N. Main St., Harrisville.There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of theBeloved Disciple, South Center Street Ext., Grove City, with the Rev. Mark A. Hoffman officiating.Entombment will be at the Crestview Memorial Park in Grove City.Memorial contributions can be made to the building fund of the Church of the Beloved Disciple, 321 N. Broad St., Grove City, PA 16127.
