Joyce M. Shepard, 86, of East Brady, formerly of Kaylor, died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Dec. 28, 1921, in Bradys Bend, she was the daughter of Phillip D. and Edith A. Richey Bowser.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family and friends, cooking, baking and her flower gardens.

Mrs. Shepard was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church, Bradys Bend. She also belonged the Red Hat Ladies Society.

Surviving are a son, Thomas L. Shepard and his wife, Cathy, of Rochester; a daughter, Jean A. Hahn and her husband, Steve, of Greenville; a brother, Thomas L. Bowser of East Brady; a sister, Rose A. Hillwig of East Brady; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Richard L. Shepard, whom she married Sept. 8, 1938, died Sept. 13, 1994. She also was preceded in death by a son, Richard E. Shepard; a daughter, Linda S. Compton, and a brother, Philip Bowser.

<B>SHEPARD </B>— Friends of Joyce M. Shepard, who died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>,<B> </B>105 Fourth St., East Brady. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Trinity Reformed Church, Bradys Bend, with the Rev. Peter Sapp officiating. Burial will be at the Lawsonham Cemetery, Rimersburg.Memorial donations may be made to the Trinity Reformed Church, 887 State Route 68, Bradys Bend, PA 16028.
