Mallory Bugel, a senior biochemistry major at Westminster College, recently received a grant through the college's Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning to continue her undergraduate research, which she will present at the American Chemical Society National Meeting in New Orleans in the spring.The daughter of Gary and Kathleen Bugel of Valencia and a graduate of Mars High School, her study is titled "The Characterization of Gangliosides from Brain Tissue."All grant recipients are invited to participate in the Undergraduate Research Symposium held on campus in the spring.
