The Rotary Club of Butler recently presented
Lifesteps a donation of $4,790, representing the sale of tickets for the 48th annual Election Day Rotary Pancake Festival.Nearly 1,300 people attended the Nov. 6 event. Total proceeds from the pancake breakfast, which included a Chinese auction, were $8,800.The proceeds will be used for the Lifesteps' Family Caring Fund, which supports programs and services for children and adults with special needs.———
Grace Community Food Pantry in Grove City was recently presented with holiday hams from the
Mechanical Contractors Association of Northwest Pennsylvania.The food pantry was selected to receive the donation based on exceptional service in providing food and other items for those who need it most. In addition to providing food for those in need, the pantry offers fellowship and fun programs for children and adults.Proceeds to purchase the hams came from the contractors association's annual golf outing. The pantry was one of 11 organizations to benefit from the event.———
The Presents for Patients community outreach program organized by St. Barnabas Charities presented gifts to 25,207 residents at 290 long-term care facilities in its 24th season.Founded in 1984, the program now serves residents in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, West Virginia and Tennessee.Volunteers from the communities served by donating holiday gifts and visiting with the recipients one-on-one.For information on Presents for Patients, call 724-443-0011 or visit www.presentsforpatients.com.———Winners at the
