Jeffrey Mitch of Butler has been accepted for admission to Saint Vincent College for the fall 2008 semester.The son of Raymond and Carol Mitch, he is expected to graduate from Butler High School in 2008. He is a member of Youth and Government, marching band and yearbook.He is also a member of the Diocese of Pittsburgh resource team, Conference on National Affairs and is a NexTier Junior Bank board member.He plans to major in management and communication.———
Taylor Morrow, granddaughter of Ben and Alice Morrow of Butler, was crowned the queen of homecoming festivities at Selinsgrove High School recently.
Kimberly Worst, a sophomore chemistry major at Westminster College, recently served as an assistant to professor Helen Boylan in the presentation of an Expanding Your Horizons conference held recently at Robert Morris University.The daughter of Paul and Maria Worst of Butler, she demonstrated dusting and lifting fingerprints to conference participants. The conference was open to girls in grades 6 to 9 who are interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers.
