Elisabeth "Betsy" Ries Severino, 49, of Valencia died Monday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

Born Aug. 11, 1958, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Walter T. and Prudence Hurd Ries.

She is survived by a sister, Prudence Burr and her husband, Jim, of Portersville; two brothers, Frederick H. Ries and his wife, Kim, of Felton, Del., and W. Theodore Ries and his wife, Debbie, of Butler; her fiance, Bruce Taylor of Valencia; seven nieces and nephews, Angela Folino, John Burr, Dustin, Katie, David and Brian Ries and Brittany Richardson; two great-nephews, and a great-niece.

Main St., Evans City, with the Rev.
