Pearlie Steven Evans

Pearlie Steven Evans, 76, formerly of Slippery Rock, died Tuesday at the St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born March 9, 1931, in Sutton, W.Va., he was the son of Richmond and Rosie Lee Wilson Evans and was one of 15 children.

He was an Army veteran and served during the Korean War.

Mr. Evans was a handyman and had been a trucker at Spector Motor Freight and Hames Construction Equipment, both in Ohio.

Surviving are four brothers, Jennings Ezra "Jim" Evans of Cabot and Eugene, Johnny and Lloyd Evans, all of Sutton; four children, Roger, Richard, Susan and Patty, all of Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.

<B>EVANS </B>— Private services and burial were held for Pearlie Steven Evans, who died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007. Arrangements were handled by the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, and information is available at www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
