Michalski 60th anniversary
Chester and Emma Michalski of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage Nov. 11 with a family dinner at the Penn Glade Lions Club in Penn Township.
The former Emma Varljen married Michalski on Nov. 8, 1947, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Winfield.
They have three children, Joan Michalski and Chester "Chuck" Michalski, both of Butler, and Mary Ann Williams of Valencia.
They also have five grandchildren.
Michalski is a former dairy farmer and is retired after 42 years as owner of the Plane View Inn on Route 8. He belongs to the Penn Glade Lions Club and the Knights of Columbus, Fourth Degree.Mrs. Varljen is a former secretary of the Penn Champ Oil Corporation in Butler and was co-owner of the Plane View Inn with her husband.The couple belongs to Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church in Middlesex Township.
