Bonnie and Paul Kondos

Paul and Bonnie Kondos of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a surprise open house hosted by their daughters at the couple's home.

The former Bonnie Dearolph married Kondos on Nov. 15, 1957, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have three daughters, Rebecca Kondos of Pittsburgh, Susan Kondos of Ohio and Kristine Taggart of Mars.

They also have five grandchildren.

Kondos retired from a position in management at ARMCO Steel. He is a former volunteer at the Butler Public Library.Mrs. Kondos is retired from Butler Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a registered nurse. She is a member of the BMH Nurse's Alumni organization.The couple belongs to St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.
