Beatrice Riding of Butler will celebrate her 80th birthday with a family dinner Wednesday at the home of her daughter in Butler.

The former Beatrice Green was born Nov. 21, 1927, in Butler. She married Harry Riding Sr. Jan. 28, 1946. He is deceased.

She has seven children, William Riding, Linda Christie, Harry Riding Jr., Pamela Spinneweber, Donald Riding and Brian Riding, all of Butler, and Edward Riding of Williamston, S.C.

She also has 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. One grandchild is deceased.

Mrs. Riding works as a crossing guard. She is of the Catholic faith.
