Klugh 90th birthday

Irvin "Butch" Klugh of Butler celebrated his 90th birthday recently with a surprise party given by his daughter at Eracers in Butler Township.

Klugh was born Nov. 13, 1917, in Butler. He married Florence Denny July 21, 1940. She is deceased.

He has a daughter, Marilyn Klugh of Sarver.

Klugh worked as a chief deputy sheriff, special deputy and deputy. He was also employed at his father's store, the I.M.Klugh Market. The former owner of a gun shop, he holds the oldest gun license issued in Butler County.

A life member of the National Sheriff's Association, Butler County Law Enforcement and the National Rifle Association, Klugh continues to participate in annual gun shows.

He is also a member of St. John's Reformed Church, Masonic Victory Lodge 694,New Castle Consistory, Ducks Unlimited, Syria Shrine and is a 71-year member of the Odd Fellows.
