Grace McDonough O'Keefe
Grace Stierheim McDonough O'Keefe, 90, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Emlenton, died of natural causes at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah, Ga.
Born in Pittsburgh, Oct. 16, 1916, she was the daughter of Norman L. and Leone M. Wiehe Stierheim.
She was a 1934 graduate of the McKees Rocks High School.
Mrs. O'Keefe was a member of the Emlenton Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Lady Emlen Rebekah Lodge and the Richland Grange.
She enjoyed dancing and swimming and had a great love for reading.
In 1980, she retired after many years as a legal secretary at the law firm of Myles R. Lynn Jr. in Emlenton.
Surviving are three daughters, Carolyn Sampselle of Ann Arbor, Mich., Cathleen Powell of Emlenton and Norma Baum of St. Petersburg, Clarion County; seven grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by two brothers, James Stierheim of Coraopolis and Robert Stierheim of Saxonburg; two sisters, Norma Stierheim of Coraopolis and Leona Gardner of Pittsburgh; a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edwin McDonough and Jerome O'Keefe.
<B>O'KEEFE </B>— A public memorial service for Grace Stierheim McDonough O'Keefe, who died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, will be held at 1 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Emlenton Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Lori Danielson officiating. Burial will be the St. Michael Cemetery, Emlenton.Memorial contributions may be made to the Emlenton Presbyterian Church, P.O.
