In celebration of her 16th birthday, Elizabeth Wentling of Emlenton, fourth from left, threw a party at Barnwells in Wentling's Corners to raise funds for the American Heart Association. The event was held in memory of Wentling's classmate, Jena Mangel, who died of a congenital heart condition in 2004. Donations from nearly 200 guests totaled more than $2,000. Among those attending were Bruce Turner, division director for the American Heart Association, and state Rep. Scott Hutchinson, R-64th.
