Lois V. Grimm
Lois V. Michael Grimm, 87, formerly of Buffalo Township, died at 10:50 p.m. Sunday in the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Jefferson Township.
Born Aug. 12, 1920, in Butler, she was the daughter of Albert F. and Margaret Beale Michael and lived in Buffalo Township most of her life.
She was a faithful member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Buffalo Township. She was also a member of the Women's Guild at the church, the former Monroe Women's Club of Sarver and the Winfield Grange. She volunteered for the Freeport Meals on Wheels.
Mrs. Grimm had worked at the Armour's Flower Shop in Freeport and owned and operated Grimm's Greenhouse in Buffalo Township with her husband from 1949 to 1995.
She is survived by two sons, John A. (Linda) Grimm of Streetsboro, Ohio, and Thomas W. (Sandra) Grimm of South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County; a daughter, Virginia Cooper of Buffalo Township; eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Henry L. Grimm, whom she married June 26, 1942, died Aug. 12, 2006. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Robb and Mabel Lyndecker; and two brothers, Charles Michael and James A. Michael, who died earlier on the same day as Lois.
<B>GRIMM</B> — Friends of Lois V. Grimm, who died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>DENNIS J. DAUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME</B>, 324 Fourth St., Freeport. Visitation also will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Emery Barnett officiating.
