Donna E. Best
Donna E. Best, 77, of Grove City, formerly of Harrisville, died at 1:30 a.m. Thursday at her home.
She was born in Olean, N.Y., on Nov. 10, 1929, to Bert E. and Edna M.Davis Critchlow.
Mrs. Best was a 1947 graduate of Harrisville High School.
She worked for the federal government as a claims examiner in Boyers, retiring in 1989 after 23 years.
She was a member of the Harrisville United Methodist Church. She spent more than 30 years as a sponsor of Al-Anon.
She was married to William H. Best on Dec. 29, 1948, and he died on Nov. 8, 1999.
She is survived by a daughter, Gaynell J. Brady and her husband, David, of Evans City; two sons, Anthony M. "Tony" Best and his wife, Jamie, of Grove City and Patrick A. Best and his companion, Annie Richards, of Harrisville; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Nevin P. Critchlow of Colorado and Alan B. Critchlow of Lower Burrell.
<B>Best</B> — Friends of Donna E. Best, who died on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 W. Main St., Harrisville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. William E. Hastings of the Harrisville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at the Prairie Cemetery in Harrisville.
