who lost her life to domestic violence.

Our Rene lies in a peaceful sleep,

Her earthly cares are over

And we who are left to mourn her

Will see her smile no more...

But she is not gone forever,

We shall meet her once again;

In the cloudless land with God above,

Where happiness knows no end...

Although we weep and shed a tear

The days are near at hand;

When we again will see her smile

And welcome us to that ever-promised land...
