Vinroe Jr.

Carl H. Vinroe Jr., 82, of West North Street died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at his home.

Born Jan. 29, 1925, in Allegheny County, he was the son of Carl H. Sr. and Edna Vinroe.

Mr. Vinroe was member of the former St. Paul's United Church of Christ.

He had been a tank liner at Castle Rubber for more than 40 years and retired in 1987.

He served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War and was a life member of the Joseph T. Black VFW Post 249 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Butler.

Surviving are four sons, Brad, Carl and Richard Vinroe, all of Butler, and Robert Vinroe of Renfrew; four grandchildren; three great-granddaughters, and a niece.

His wife, Anna Margaret Heaton Vinroe, died Dec. 8, 1999. They were married Sept. 20, 1947. He also was preceded in death by twin infant brothers and a great-grandson.

North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Link officiating.
