Do you think you are the only profession in Butler that requires a degree? Give me a break! I just checked my last paycheck. I pay almost $300 a month in healthcare and vision benefits, that doesn't include dental, which my husband could get cheaper where he works, so he gets dental. How much do you pay? I'm not saying I make a poor wage, I have a bachelors degree and work in Pittsburgh, yet I never am allowed to arrive late because of the weather. What I am saying is 7% a year for 3 years (21%!!!!) is a ridiculous amount to demand for all the work that you actually do. I think teachers salaries should be completely public, including all the perks - free cell phones, laptops, whatever else you actually get, compared to what you have to give. A couple evenings a year for a family night. Taxpayers pay your salary, I pay your salary, you don't pay mine. If you did, you should know how much you pay me, just like I should know EXACTLY what I pay you.
