It's getting closer. It is starting to move in closer all the time. You can feel it's breathe on the back of your neck, feel the small hairs on the nape of your neck rise. You can feel it get closer each and every time that your read the headlines. The small town feeling is getting much smaller.Remember when you could sit on the front porch at night? Ya remember when you gasped at the "big city" newspapers you were reading about the shootings, the bank robbery, the stores being robbed? Well, don't look now, but it is right on your front door, knocking at your house. We all know that Butler is a crack town. We all know that the drugs in the high schools are easier to get than the answers to next weeks big test. What has happened to our safe, secure, feeling out here in Butler Ya'll better open up your eyes,,YES YOU!! the ones that make up the rules and enforce the laws out here. Drugs are running our town down into the ground and all that we will have to show for it is another meth lab and boarded up stores. PARENTS!!! WAKE UP YOUR kids are dying and you are all too busy with your jobs and your lives to talk to these kids who feel that the only way to escape the madness in their lives is to get high, whether it be alcohol, or crack and where do you think they are getting the money.
